Whitehall Yard in Sheringham is an original yard of fishermen's cottages, only 120m from the sea. Built of flint cobbles c.1840 Whitehall Yard is home for local residents, second homes for others and holiday cottages for visitors. Whitehall Yard is an ideal location to holiday in this seaside town. Close to restaurants and pubs, but with independent shops for those who prefer self-catering. Sheringham is famous for its crabs (from the same waters as Cromer crabs), lobsters and other seafood and, in season, samphire fresh from the salt marshes.
